From the traditional majesty of the pipe organ to the more current sounds of guitars and drums, music plays a vital role in the worship experience here at LCHS. Here are some great ways to share your musical gifts:
Adult Choir - Think about it: the voice is the only musical instrument created by God! Why not celebrate it's beauty by adding your voice to the many voices that join together in harmonic expressions of thanks to our Living Lord? Everyone high school age or older is invited to join and no auditions are required. We rehearse from 7 - 8:30 P.M. on Thursdays and sing at the early service the first two Sundays of the month and at the late service the second two Sundays of the month. Choir follows the traditional school schedule and sings from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday before Memorial Day.
Bell Choir - If you can count, you can ring! Our bell choir members have an awful lot of fun as they "Ring to the King!" Everyone high school age or older is invited to join and no auditions are required. We rehearse from 6 - 7 P.M. on Thursdays and ring once a month beginning in September and ending in May. Bell choir performances vary from month to month and are based on each member's availability.
Special Music - Do you sing or play a musical instrument? Soloists and ensembles enhance our worship year-round and are especially appreciated during the summer months when the choirs take some much needed time off. Please contact Rick Mezey if you'd like to provide some special music for our Sunday morning worship services.
Special Liturgies - Some of the liturgies used at LCHS lend themselves to guitar, drum, and bass accompaniments
